THE PANOPLY CONSULTING AND PRIVATE EQUITY INVESTMENT SERVICES AND STRATEGY AIMS TO IDENTIFY HIGH VALUE REAL ESTATE OPPORTUNITIES THAT PROVIDE SUSTAINABLE YIELDS AND POSITIVE LONG TERM PROSPECTS, WHILE ALSO IMPROVING THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES WITH OUR HANDS-ON MANAGEMENT AND VALUE-ADD INITIATIVES.
Anthony (Tony) Cummings, the Managing Partner of Panoply Properties, began his real estate career with the Related Companies in New York City. Throughout the course of his nine-year tenure with Related and its affiliates, he gained extensive knowledge of the full spectrum of real estate, including acquisitions, design, financing, construction, development and dispositions. Anthony has served in varying capacities for Related in affordable housing, mixed-use, retail, luxury residential and, ultimately, lodging. Anthony has worked on over $10bn of planned and built projects, spread across all asset classes in New York, Florida, Las Vegas, California, Mexico, Monaco and the Caribbean.
Following his graduation from Columbia’s Masters in Real Estate program in 2006, Anthony focused mainly on hospitality, working on branded hotel and residential projects with One and Only, Mandarin Oriental, Auberge and W Hotels. In 2008, Anthony relocated to Miami Beach on behalf of Related to oversee the development, completion and opening of the highly acclaimed W South Beach and Residences.
In 2010, Anthony, along with his partners at Related and Silverpeak, acquired an interest in Gemstone Hotels and Resorts, a nationally renowned hotel management company. Anthony has also advised Advancit Capital, an early-stage venture fund on potential and current investments in real estate and operated oriented start-ups.
In 2011, Anthony and Brandon Korff started their own real estate platform, Panoply. Their first investment was the acquisituion and redevelopment of the iconic Raleigh Hotel in Miami Beach. Anthony and his partners actively invest in retail, mixed-use and hospitality in primary markets throughout the United States with a specific focus on South Florida and New York City. Anthony is based out of South Florida and spends a majority of his time in Miami.
Anthony is active in the philanthropic world both personally and through the Max and Marjorie Fisher Foundation.
Brandon Korff has a background as a media executive, and investor who has turned his skills and talents to real estate development. He currently serves as Managing Partner of Panoply Properties as well as a Board Member of National Amusements ("NA"). NA owns the Showcase Cinema and Cinema de Lux chains and is the majority shareholder of Viacom and CBS.
Upon graduation from George Washington University, Brandon secured a job as Director of New Media for multi-platinum recording artist Eminem's Shady Records in New York. He was responsible for creating a digital marketing strategy for the label and advising label President Paul Rosenberg on all digital matters. After several years at Shady Records, Brandon joined the family business, National Amusements.
In 2008, Brandon moved to Boston where he served as Director of Corporate Development at National Amusements. He launched Showcase Live, a supper club/music venue located at Patriot Place, home of the New England Patriots. This gave Brandon his first hands-on experience with real estate development as he became involved during the construction phase and dealt with build-out, budgeting, marketing and community relations. Several years later, this role led to an opportunity at MTV Networks. Brandon served as Director of Music and Artist Development, where he played a crucial role in expanding their music content acquisitions business. This led to cost savings, new revenue streams, and innovation within the Music Department. He also created a Music Library which he marketed to other networks and brought worldwide visibility to the artists involved.
While at MTV, Brandon continued to explore a multitude of investment opportunities. He eventually decided to focus initially on executive production and early-stage investing.
His first foray as a producer was with a critically acclaimed documentary that explored the electronic dance music scene called "The Electric Daisy Carnival Experience." He also served as an advisor to investment firm Advancit Capital regarding several media and technology companies; Brandon remains an investor.
Brandon's experience with the Showcase Live development and his success with early-stage investment led to his interest in the real estate arena. Panoply’s first project was the purchase and redevelopment of the historic Raleigh Hotel in Miami. The Raleigh transaction was one of the more notable real estate deals in South Florida when the team purchased and later resold the property to fashion icon Tommy Hilfiger in early 2014. In recent years, Brandon and his partners have amassed a significant portfolio in the Miami Market, specifically Wynwood, the thriving arts district of Miami, as well as the Design District, Midtown, and South Beach.
Brandon and his siblings formed the KBT Foundation in 2005.
